Since November 2009 our own GNSS
reference station is available to the students. It's basic
configuration consists of a GNSS Receiver (NET G3, that is able to
receive signals of the existing and coming GNSS-Systems (GPS, GLONASS,
Galileo)), a digital control unit (PC-104 Board with Linux OS). The
uninterruptible power supply provides a maximum security while
data-logging.The reference station is automatically controlled by a
dedicated software tools, developed by the Chair.
The system provides continuous high-frequency (20Hz) GPS
data streams in real time using TCP or UDP sockets. All hardware
modules are integrated into a rack and the GNSS receiver antenna was
placed on the roof of the main building of TU Berlin on the geodetic
research platform. A number of other software
modules for Quality analysis, processing of the navigation data
(single point positioning system) and generation of differential
corrections is performed in real time is beeing under develpoment by
the chair partially in frame of PhD, Master and Bachelor theses.
In addition, the raw data as real-time
data streams or post-processing input are used for the scientific
evaluation of GNSS signals for the purpose of research and
teaching.
